Skyler Smith, a junior offensive lineman at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, announced his commitment to Duke University on Tuesday, cementing a pivotal recruiting win for the Blue Devils.
Ranked as the No. 47 player in Tennessee and No. 91 nationally among interior linemen for the 2027 class, Smith attracted interest from several programs, including Wake Forest, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Memphis and the United States Army.
While the recruiting landscape was crowded, Smith cited the academic reputation, coaching philosophy and the opportunity to contribute early as key factors in his decision.
A Strategic Addition for the Blue Devils
Duke’s offensive line coach highlighted Smith’s size, footwork and football IQ, noting that the commit adds depth and versatility to a unit that has been rebuilding after recent departures.
