The Wilsonville girls soccer program is entering a new chapter. Sloane St. Croix, a former collegiate goalkeeper and seasoned youth coach, has succeeded Alex Boehm, who steered the Wildcats to five Northwest Oregon Conference titles and four consecutive Class 5A state championships over six seasons.
A Coaching Philosophy Rooted in Holistic Growth
St. Croix’s approach extends beyond tactics on the pitch. She emphasizes creating an environment where players feel joy, show respect for opponents and teammates, and strive for excellence in academics, health and personal character. "Our goal is to develop better, happier and healthier individuals," she said in a recent interview.
The new coach brings a blend of playing experience and coaching credentials. She starred as a goalkeeper at the College of Wooster and later at Miami University, then competed professionally in the USL W league. After graduation she returned to the Portland area, where she spent two years leading the FC Portland U16 side and served as JV coach at Cleveland High School from 2024 through 2026.
Under her guidance, the Wildcats finished the 2025 campaign with a 15‑3 record, capturing the conference title and advancing to the state semifinals. That performance set the stage for the 2026 season, where the team hopes to defend its competitive edge while carving out a distinct identity that reflects St. Croix’s values.

Wilsonville’s facilities and community support have long been cited as key ingredients in its sustained success. The school’s modern fields, dedicated training staff and passionate fan base provide a stable platform for implementing new strategies.
