Snow College’s men’s basketball program has taken a decisive step toward the 2026‑27 campaign by welcoming eleven new players to its roster. The incoming class combines experienced transfers with promising high school graduates, all selected for their work ethic, skill sets and alignment with the college’s emerging culture.
A roster built on work ethic
Head coach Brad Kitchen described the group as a cohesive unit whose collective drive matches the program’s ambition. He emphasized that each recruit was chosen not only for on‑court ability but also for the intangible qualities that can shape a winning environment.
Jakobe Jones arrives after a stint at Northeastern Junior College, where he completed an LDS mission before returning to the court. At NJC he helped the team to a 20‑10 record, averaging 7.1 points per game and shooting 33.3 percent from three‑point range, numbers that hint at a versatile scoring threat.
Amari Davis brings a different kind of experience, having transferred from Miami Dade College and previously played at Hutchinson Community College. Though limited by injury last season, his freshman year at Hutchinson showcased a 50 percent field‑goal rate, underscoring a reliable inside presence.
Jamaal Phatty’s journey led him to College of the Sequoias, where he posted 2.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field. His steady efficiency should add depth to the frontcourt.
Julian Cuillier comes from McLennan Community College, a program that finished the season at 29‑2. He contributed 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, offering a balanced skill set that can complement the team’s tempo.
Kyler Hadfield, after a period at Everett Community College, arrives with averages of 10.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 34 percent from beyond the arc. His perimeter shooting could stretch defenses and open driving lanes.
Max Rehl’s path includes a transfer from Cal State Northridge and a prep stint at Notre Dame Prep, where his team posted a 24‑4 record with a perfect 12‑0 conference run. His collegiate experience should bring a mature perspective to the locker room.
High school standouts
The class also features five high school standouts who have already drawn attention for their statistical dominance. Shane Skidmore, returning from an LDS mission, capped his senior year at University High School with 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Nash Schroeder, also mission‑returned, posted 22.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 51 percent from the field and 39 percent from three‑point range. Xander Hale helped his squad to a 16‑9 finish at American Fork High School, contributing 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Isaiah Drisdom, a graduate of Highland High School, recorded 10.8 points, 3.9 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Finally, Dino Roberts Jr., a product of Bishop Gorman High School — a known basketball powerhouse — averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
