When parents across the United States search for the right soccer experience for their children, a new digital gateway has emerged to simplify the hunt. SoccerPath, launched in 2024, lets families input location, age and personal preferences to uncover teams that fit their needs, all without any cost to users or existing teams.
The platform’s creator, Teddy Wagnac, brings a blend of technical expertise and entrepreneurial success to the venture. After two previous exits — including his consulting firm TedWag Partners — Wagnac raised $150,000 in pre‑seed funding from friends and family to build SoccerPath’s infrastructure.
SoccerPath currently showcases more than 6,000 teams and a growing roster of private coaches spread across the country. Users can filter results by geography, age group and specific coaching styles, creating a tailored pathway for young athletes.
Monetization and Expansion
The business model will eventually charge coaches a subscription fee for premium matching tools, while keeping the service free for families. Wagnac plans to harness AI to refine team‑coach compatibility and accelerate network growth, positioning SoccerPath as a scalable solution for youth soccer.
Next month the app will debut in the App Store, with an initial rollout in high‑traffic neighborhoods such as Brickell, Miramar and Doral before extending to the broader Florida market and beyond. To support this expansion, the company will hire contractors in every state to connect with local academies and sports facilities.
Wagnac’s professional background includes a tenure as an IT project manager for major corporations like Sodexo and AXA Insurance, where he honed the logistical and operational skills that now underpin SoccerPath’s day‑to‑day functions.
