Sol de Janeiro, the Brazilian-inspired body-care brand celebrated for its transportive fragrances, has announced a multi-year partnership with the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League that will run through the 2026-2028 seasons.
The collaboration is designed to weave body-care rituals and celebratory moments into the Spirit’s matchday experience, giving players a new way to express confidence and joy both on and off the field.
Matchday Rituals Reimagined
Starting with the July 3, 2026 opener against the Houston Dash at Audi Field, the Spirit will debut a "My Matchday Rituals" content series that follows players through pre-game skin-care routines, post-goal celebrations and behind-the-scenes moments.
Each goal will be amplified by the "Sol de Janeiro Celebration Cam," a dedicated camera that captures the instant and turns it into a shareable clip for fans across social platforms.
Empowering the Next Generation
Beyond the stadium, the partnership extends into community programs that aim to build confidence in young athletes, offering workshops, mentorship and access to Sol de Janeiro’s signature body-care products.
Jordan Saxemard, senior vice president of brand partnerships at Sol de Janeiro, said the alliance reflects a shared belief that beauty and sport are complementary forces for self-expression.
Doug Vinci, president of the Washington Spirit, added that the partnership deepens the team’s connection with fans while highlighting the players’ individuality and spirit.
