Adam Ripple, the Daily American’s sports editor, compiled the selections for the fifth consecutive year, underscoring his long‑standing role in chronicling local athletics and ensuring that the county’s best are recognized.
Overall, 21 baseball players and 20 softball players earned postseason accolades, reflecting the depth of competition across the county’s programs and the breadth of talent that will shape the next generation of players.
Players of the Year
Conemaugh Township senior Colin Dinyar stood out enough to be crowned the Daily American Somerset County All-Star Baseball Team Player of the Year, a testament to his consistent performance and leadership on the field.
Berlin Brothersvalley junior Elena Ritchey earned the same distinction on the softball side, being named the 2026 Softball Player of the Year after a season marked by powerful hitting and clutch performances.
