Four returning starters and newcomer Narissa Fults earn SEC preseason honors as Oklahoma prepares for 2026 season opener

Preseason Recognition

The SEC announced its preseason watchlist for women's soccer on August 10, 2026, highlighting five Oklahoma athletes who will be watched closely as the 2026 campaign approaches.

Elle Canty, a sophomore from Norman, returns after a freshman season in which she logged 1,082 minutes in SEC play, contributed a brace against Tulsa and set up an assist versus Alabama.

Lexi Dendis, also a sophomore, builds on a strong debut that earned her CUSA Freshman of the Year honors at Middle Tennessee State before joining the Sooners, where she started every game in 2025 and recorded four goals and five assists, including strikes against Texas and Florida.

Kayla Keefer emerged as the team’s leading point producer in 2025, tallying 22 points through eight assists and seven goals while starting 18 league matches.

Ally Laccinole, a freshman the previous season, earned SEC All‑Freshman Team recognition and captured Freshman of the Week honors in her opening week of play.

The newcomer on the list, junior Narissa Fults, brings experience from 37 appearances for the Wildcats, where she amassed six goals and six assists over two years.

Season Opener

The August 12 contest against Northwestern State marks the debut of the watchlisted group on the field, offering an early gauge of how the blend of veteran talent and fresh faces will mesh under the coach's guidance.
