South Carolina’s men’s basketball squad kicked off the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League with a 94-81 victory over Victoria, Canada, on Tuesday night.
The Gamecocks pulled away in the second half, outscoring Victoria 27-14 during a decisive stretch that vaulted them to a 69-54 lead and never looked back.

Headlined by a 54.5% clip after the break, South Carolina finished the game at 49.3% overall, with 23 of their 33 field goals assisted, underscoring a fluid offensive rhythm.
Kory Mincy paced the scoring with 18 points, 16 of which came in the first half, while Camden Heide added 13 and Aleksas Bieliauskas contributed 12.
Shane Blakeney chipped in 12 points, and the bench provided depth, with Hayden Assemian posting 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Veteran big man Hugo López delivered eight points and six rebounds in just nine minutes, and Grant Polk recorded nine points, three rebounds and a team-high three steals.
Davion Hannah rounded out the double-digit effort with eight points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals, while the defense forced 18 turnovers, including 13 steals.
