A Tournament With Purpose
The University of South Carolina women's basketball program will open its doors to three Historically Black Colleges and Universities for a mid‑season showcase that coincides with Thanksgiving weekend.
North Carolina Central, Alabama A&M and Tennessee State will join the host team at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, for two days of competition that also includes a community service event on Thanksgiving Day, an NIL Marketplace on Nov. 27 and a kickoff dinner for all participants.
Dawn Staley, the head coach of South Carolina, said the event is about more than wins on the court; it is about providing access and opportunities for young women athletes beyond basketball.
Rae Rose Media is partnering with the university to create intentional spaces that expand the value and visibility of these athletes, leveraging the growing momentum of women's sports to ensure equitable access.
The tournament reflects a broader ambition to use high‑profile events to drive investment, mentorship and professional pathways for female athletes across the country.
