Southeastern Louisiana University celebrated a sweep of the 2026 All-Louisiana baseball honors, with three of its standout players earning spots on the prestigious team. The selections reflect not only individual excellence but also the program’s rising momentum within the Southland Conference.
Cuff’s Junior Surge
Connor Cuff finished his junior season with a .301 batting average, 15 doubles, a triple, 16 home runs and 51 RBIs. His on‑base plus slugging (OPS) of 1.019 placed him among the conference’s top five, while his slugging percentage of .612 and double‑digit home runs underscored his power threat. Cuff also earned Southland All‑Tournament and All‑Academic honors, highlighting his impact on both the field and in the classroom.
Perry’s Power Surge
Alex Perry, the Southland’s home‑run champion, posted a .274 average with 11 doubles, 17 homers and 50 RBIs. His slugging percentage of .589 and OPS of .963 earned him a top‑ten ranking in several offensive categories, and his 54 runs scored helped anchor the lineup. Perry’s first‑team All‑Louisiana selection was complemented by an All‑State nod, as well as All‑Conference and All‑Defensive honors.
Woods Leads the Pack
Peyton Woods hit .358 while delivering six home runs and 27 RBIs, leading the Southland in both batting average and on‑base percentage (.465). His consistency at the plate earned him the conference’s Hitter of the Year award, and he was also recognized with All‑Conference and All‑Academic honors. Woods’ ability to get on base and drive in runs made him the most feared hitter in the league this season.
The trio’s recognitions extend beyond the diamond. All three were named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s All‑Academic team, reflecting a commitment to excellence in the classroom. Their achievements illustrate how Southeastern Louisiana continues to produce well‑rounded student‑athletes who compete at the highest level of state baseball.
