A New Chapter for Southeastern Louisiana Women's Basketball
Southeastern Louisiana University announced the signing of three standout players — Micah Cooper, Susan Fahnbulleh and Yolaine Luthi — to its women's basketball roster for the 2026‑27 season.
Head coach Jeff Dow said the additions bring a rare blend of length and athleticism, noting that eight of the nine newcomers stand between 5'11" and 6'2".
Cooper, a versatile guard from Carrollton, Texas, arrives after a Division I stint that included a 23‑game sophomore season highlighted by a 15‑point outburst against Northern Iowa and a 13.3‑point per game average at Hebron High School.
Fahnbulleh, a dynamic combo guard from Perth, Australia, comes off a sophomore campaign in which her junior‑college team posted a 27‑5 record, she recorded 16 double‑digit scoring games and set a career‑high of 26 points.
Luthi, an athletic forward from Madison, Kansas, joins after being named an NJCAA All‑American, averaging 9.2 points per game while stealing 25 bases and contributing across multiple sports at the collegiate level.
The incoming class reflects a strategic mix of high school recruits, junior‑college transfers, international prospects and Division I transfers, giving the program depth across every position.
Coach Dow emphasized that the new talent will help fortify each position group and lay a foundation for sustained growth, while the existing roster features returning players such as Aliyah Collins, Eryn McKinzie and Natalie Huff.
Fans can look forward to seeing how the trio of Cooper, Fahnbulleh and Luthi integrate with the existing squad, including signees Mia Ramos, Emma Lucio, Trinity Jackson‑Wilkins, Deena Holmes, Ne'talya Hurst, Lillian Merow, Shaine Parker and Diana Szakolczi, as the team aims to compete at a higher level in the upcoming season.
