2026 Season Unveiled
Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s soccer program revealed its full 2026 slate on Monday, outlining a schedule that blends early‑season exhibitions with a rigorous conference campaign.
The team finished the previous campaign with a 6‑8‑4 record, including a 5‑3‑2 mark inside the Southland Conference, setting the stage for a competitive second year under head coach.
Two exhibition fixtures are slated for August, beginning with a home clash against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College before a road test at Mississippi State University.
The regular season kicks off on August 13 when the Lions host Louisiana‑Lafayette at the university’s home stadium, marking the first of 18 matches scheduled for the year.
Conference Battlefields
Across the schedule, Southeastern will meet each of its Southland peers, traveling to face institutions such as Troy University, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Stephen F. Austin State University, while also hosting matchups against Lamar University and Nicholls State University.
Non‑conference opponents include a mix of regional schools, ranging from Spring Hill College in Alabama to the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, providing diverse competitive experiences early in the season.
Championship Finale
The Southland Conference Soccer Championship Tournament is set for November 10‑15 in Commerce, Texas, where the Lions will aim to translate regular‑season momentum into postseason success.
With a blend of home‑field advantage and road resilience, the program hopes to improve on last year’s record and contend for a conference title.
