Southeastern Louisiana Lions schedule preseason exhibitions
Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s soccer program is poised to begin its 2026 campaign with a pair of preseason exhibitions that will take the Lions on the road to Mississippi before they return home for the official opener.
The first test arrives on August 5, when the team meets Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at 5 p.m. in Perkinston, a coastal town that will host the opening warm‑up for the squad.
Two days later, on August 8, the Lions travel to Starkville to face Mississippi State at 6 p.m., using the matchup as a final dress rehearsal before the season‑opening showdown.
The regular‑season debut is slated for August 14 at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, where the Lions will host UL Lafayette at 7 p.m., marking the start of a full slate of conference play.
Both exhibition games provide crucial preparation steps, giving the coaching staff a chance to fine‑tune tactics and chemistry ahead of a demanding schedule.
