Amid the competition, the league has opened a fan‑driven poll to recognize the week’s top performer, inviting supporters to vote for the Southern California High School Baseball Player of the Week, with voting closing on May 23 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
During the May 11‑15 stretch, several nominees delivered standout performances. Brady Murrietta of Orange Lutheran went 3‑for‑5 with three home runs and six RBIs, while Michael Flink of Bishop Montgomery pitched a complete‑game shutout with six strikeouts.
Sam Escobedo from Ontario added a 3‑for‑4 effort with three RBIs and a double, and Donovan Anthony of Agoura struck out 15 batters in a shutout. Evan Kim of Foothill contributed two RBIs, and Cesar Meza of Fontana delivered a walk‑off hit.
