Community Investment Transforms Local Baseball Field
Southern Michigan Bank & Trust has pledged $5,000 to breathe new life into a neglected baseball field at Kiwanis Park in Bronson, Michigan, as part of a broader effort to meet the growing demand for youth sports facilities.
The investment turned an idle lot into a modern facility, featuring a freshly cut grass infield, a state‑of‑the‑art irrigation system, reinforced fencing and upgraded safety equipment, creating a secure environment for young athletes.
The overhaul was driven by a volunteer board and a network of local partners, with Quinn White, SMBT Vice President and Head of Marketing, stating that the company is proud to back a project that reflects the community’s dedication.
Beyond the initial upgrade, additional contributions from residents will fund ongoing maintenance and set the stage for future revitalization of the remaining fields, ensuring the park remains a lasting recreational asset for generations.
A Community‑Centric Revitalization
The transformation underscores how targeted financial support, combined with grassroots volunteerism, can turn underused public spaces into vibrant hubs of activity, reinforcing the park’s role as a cornerstone of local recreation.
