A New Chapter for The Rock
The University of Southern Mississippi announced that its century‑old football stadium, commonly called The Rock, will adopt the name Renasant Bank Stadium as part of a comprehensive naming rights agreement.
The arrangement spans a decade and commits Renasant Bank to an annual payment of approximately $13.7 million, a figure that emerged from an independent valuation confirming the deal’s fairness and reasonableness.
Renasant Bank was selected after extensive mutual discussions between university officials and bank representatives, ensuring that the partnership aligns with both institutional values and market expectations.
The agreement includes a termination clause that allows either party to end the contract if a material breach occurs, providing a safeguard for both sides.
While the stadium has stood on the Hattiesburg campus for 93 years, the official rebranding will be implemented pending final approval and public rollout.
