Springfield College’s women’s soccer squad has been celebrated by the United Soccer Coaches for its outstanding performance in the classroom, capturing the 2025‑26 United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award.
The team posted a collective grade point average of 3.63, a figure that placed it fifth among all NEWMAC women’s soccer programs for the 2025‑26 season.
A Dual Commitment to Excellence
The award, which acknowledges programs maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA, was bestowed upon 451 women’s soccer teams nationwide, underscoring the competitive balance between athletic and academic ambition.
Adding to the college’s recent accolades, 13 student‑athletes from the program earned spots on the NEWMAC Academic All‑Conference team in the previous fall, highlighting a sustained culture of scholarship.
Looking ahead, the Pride will open the 2026 campaign at home against Western New England on September 2 at 6:00 p.m., a match that promises to blend on‑field intensity with the team’s academic momentum.
