Woodbine’s Path to the Title Game
Woodbine Football entered the season as a playoff qualifier, returning nearly all of its key players and emphasizing fundamentals and mental preparation.
The Tigers posted signature victories, including a 52‑8 win over Lenox and an 86‑6 triumph over Sidney, which helped cement their momentum.
After defeating Fremont‑Mills and Southeast Warren, Woodbine edged Gladbrook‑Reinbeck 38‑30 in the semifinals to secure a spot in the state final.
The championship match saw the team fall just one goal short to Bishop Garrigan, ending a remarkable run.
