St. Aloysius High School has announced its football cheer leadership for the upcoming season, naming Hendrix Eldridge as head captain and Madelyn Kavanaugh as co‑captain.
A Legacy of Leadership
Eldridge has been cheering at St. Aloysius since the fourth grade, earning a two‑time Pin It Forward Award and being named the team’s Most Improved Cheerleader during her freshman season. She will pursue a psychology degree at the University of Mississippi, following in the footsteps of her parents, Brad and Callie Eldridge.
Kavanaugh’s cheer journey began with an All‑Star team at age three and has continued through every level of competition. She was recently recognized as an All‑American cheerleader and earned Rookie of the Year honors, a testament to her dedication and talent.
Chasing Another State Title
Both captains will lead the squad under Head Coach Kirsten Golding, whose guidance has helped the team remain competitive in recent seasons. Their shared goal is to steer St. Aloysius to another state championship, a feat that would cement the program’s reputation for excellence.
The support of their families underscores the personal side of their ambitions. Eldridge’s parents, Brad and Callie, and Kavanaugh’s parents, Michael and Katie, have been vocal supporters throughout her cheer career.
