The St. Augustine Record has unveiled its 2026 All‑County team for girls flag football, recognizing the county’s most impactful performers across St. Johns County high schools.
Player of the Year: Izzy Murray
Murray, a dual‑threat quarterback and linebacker from Ponte Vedra, dominated the season with 445 completions on 598 attempts, amassing 4,884 passing yards and 71 touchdowns while throwing just 16 interceptions. Her defensive contributions included 79 flag pulls and four interceptions, underscoring her all‑field presence.
Quarterback excellence
Bartram Trail’s Kaila Pierce also posted impressive numbers, throwing for 3,914 yards and 62 touchdowns against 16 interceptions, a performance that helped her team compete at the top of the league.
Dynamic playmakers at other positions
Running back Layla Davis contributed 169 rushing yards and excelled as a receiver with 101 catches for 746 yards and 11 scores, while wide receiver Riley Abelon added 132 receptions for 1,496 yards and 24 touchdowns. On the defensive side, Julia Conroy and Peyton Gruver each logged multiple interceptions, with Conroy picking off 24 passes and Gruver securing 12, highlighting the secondary’s playmaking.
Defensive standouts and versatile athletes
Izzy Romero recorded 119 tackles, nine interceptions and two sacks, complementing her 35 receptions for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan Janssen, a center‑rusher from Tocoi Creek, added 28 sacks and 65 flag pulls, and also caught 31 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Addy Curry, another versatile athlete from Tocoi Creek, threw for 1,852 yards and 26 touchdowns, ran for 505 yards, and contributed 15 catches for 220 yards.
The breadth of talent recognized by the All‑County team reflects a deep pool of skill across the county, promising strong competition in the seasons ahead.
