St. Cloud State’s men’s basketball program has unveiled its 2026‑27 schedule, a 28‑game lineup that builds on the team’s recent NSIC championship and sets a clear path toward another deep NCAA run.
The slate features 22 conference battles alongside six non‑conference contests, with all home games slated for the familiar confines of Halenbeck Hall, where the crowd traditionally fuels the team’s momentum.
The season opens on November 9 with a road test at the University of Minnesota Crookston, before the Huskies travel to St. Joseph, Missouri for the Hillyard Tip‑Off Classic, where they will meet Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri State.
A two‑day stop in Wisconsin Dells follows, with matchups against Northern Michigan and Lake Superior State, after which the team returns home for the first NSIC series against Minnesota State Mankato and Winona State.
January brings a mix of travel and home dates, highlighted by a trip to Mankato for a showdown with the Mavericks on January 2, followed by home games versus UM‑Mary and Minot State, and a later stretch that includes contests against Minnesota‑Duluth and Bemidji State.
February’s road swing includes meetings with Northern State, Jamestown, SMSU and the University of Sioux Falls, while the home schedule sees the Huskies host Wayne State, Augustana and Winona State before the regular season wraps with a final conference clash against Concordia‑St. Paul on February 20.
Playoffs and postseason goals
The NSIC playoffs are set to begin on February 24, running through March 2, positioning the team for a potential berth in the NCAA Regional Tournament in March and a shot at the Elite Eight later that month.
