A Milestone Charity Event
St. Cloud State University’s men’s basketball team is celebrating a four‑decade tradition by staging its 40th annual Hoopsters Golf Classic. The tournament will take place on August 7 at the scenic Wapicada Golf Club in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, drawing together alumni, supporters, and local community members in a shared effort to bolster the program’s future.
The event follows a five‑person best‑ball format and kicks off with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. After a morning of friendly competition, participants will enjoy a catered meal at 3:45 p.m., followed by remarks from Head Coach Quincy Henderson at 4 p.m. The schedule also includes registration beginning at 10 a.m., ensuring ample time for players to connect and prepare.
Supporting the Huskies
All proceeds from the tournament are directed to the St. Cloud State Men’s Basketball Program, helping fund scholarships, equipment, and travel expenses. In addition to playing, non‑players have the opportunity to sponsor a hole for $100 or attend the dinner reception alone for $60, providing flexible ways for community members to contribute.
Registration for participants costs $135 per person and includes a round of golf, branded merchandise, meals, and a chance to win prizes. Sponsorship packages are also available, allowing businesses and individuals to showcase their support while gaining visibility among a dedicated fan base.
