During the most recent academic cycle the team posted a collective grade point average of 3.59, a figure that places it among the top performers in the BIG EAST conference, where only five institutions received the honor.
Head Coach Mike Hampton, whose squads have now claimed the award on six separate occasions, praised the student‑athletes for balancing demanding training schedules with rigorous coursework.
