Maronka, a 6‑foot‑10 power forward celebrated for his shooting touch and mobility, arrives after six years of professional experience across Europe. His most recent stint was with Hamburg Towers in Germany, where he posted averages of 7.1 points and 4.0 rebounds in the top division last season. Earlier in the year he contributed 10.5 points per game during FIBA World Cup qualifying matches, underscoring his ability to perform on the international stage.
Reuniting with Familiar Faces
The new signing also brings a personal connection to the squad, having previously shared the court with teammate Ruben Prey at Spanish club CB Prat. That familiarity should ease his integration into Rick Pitino's system, where chemistry and quick adaptation are prized. Alongside returning internationals Casper Pohto, Lefteris Liotopoulos and Fotis Konstantinidis, Maronka adds another layer of global experience to a roster that has already embraced a diverse talent pool.
