A Season of Stars
The 2026 St. Tammany Farmer All‑Parish Baseball Team has once again shone a spotlight on the parish’s elite high school talent, recognizing the players who have distinguished themselves on the diamond this season.
Connor Smith of Northshore earned the honor of Pitcher of the Year after posting an 8‑2 record, a 0.67 ERA and 101 strikeouts while allowing just 39 hits and 24 walks, a performance that left coaches and teammates alike in awe.
Greyson Parker from Mandeville was crowned Hitter of the Year, boasting a .341 batting average, a 1.048 OPS and 13 multi‑hit games, underscoring his blend of power and consistency at the plate.
Jacob Seward of Lakeshore took home Coach of the Year after guiding his squad to the state semifinals, a run that included a 10‑2 finish over the final 12 games and a memorable victory in the quarterfinals.
Other standouts included Caden Amie of Pope John Paul II, who went 6‑1 with a 1.76 ERA and 62 strikeouts, and Xan Harwell of Pearl River, who finished 8‑0 with a 1.43 ERA and 107 strikeouts, while Sammie McDaniel added a .370 average, a .504 on‑base percentage and 23 thrown‑out runners.
The accolades also reflected the broader success of local programs, as Pearl River and Lakeshore were the only teams to advance to the state quarterfinals, a testament to the depth of competition across St. Tammany Parish.
