Standout performances from northern Utah high school standouts highlight the third-team selections

The Standard-Examiner has announced its 2026 All-Area Baseball Third Team, a tribute to the standout athletes who have shaped the region’s high school baseball landscape over the past season.

Pitchers leading the charge

Among the standout arms, senior right-hander Parker Skidmore of Roy High School impressed with a .360 batting average, a .451 on-base percentage and 86.3 innings pitched, striking out 81 batters while walking just 17 and posting a 3.63 ERA and a .942 fielding percentage.

Also notable is senior pitcher Rodrigo Torres from Ogden High School, who logged 50 innings, fanned 40 opponents, walked 15, and maintained a 4.60 ERA, complementing a .414 batting average at the plate.

Their performances underscore a pitching depth that has been a cornerstone for many of the area’s most competitive programs.

Offensive firepower across the lineup

Infielders and outfielders alike turned heads with bats that crackled through the season. Easton Venz of Morgan High School, a senior infielder, posted a .407 average and a .466 on-base rate, adding two home runs and 35 RBIs to his résumé.

Cam Moody, a sophomore from Davis High School, combined a .435 average with a .538 on-base percentage, a .533 slugging mark, 37 hits, two homers and 21 RBIs, while also scoring 33 runs.

Hank Campbell, a sophomore at Clearfield High School, excelled as a pitcher/catcher, batting .448, launching two grand slams, driving in 29 runs and collecting 32 hits.

Outfielder Easton Green from Ogden High School brought a .325 average, a .469 on-base rate, a .558 slugging percentage, six doubles, three triples, two homers, 14 walks and 20 stolen bases, contributing to a 1.028 OPS.

Isaac Anderson of Northridge High School, the team’s senior MVP, posted a .369 average, 19 RBIs and two homers, while Porter Francom of Box Elder added a .369 average, a .500 on-base rate, 24 hits, 17 RBIs and 21 runs.

Catchers Brady Reynolds of Clearfield and Jaygen Noble of Bonneville rounded out the group, with Reynolds batting .365 and boasting a .333 caught-stealing rate that ranks third in Utah, and Noble hitting .390 with five doubles, 16 RBIs and a home run.

Together, these athletes illustrate a blend of power, precision and poise that promises to shape the next wave of high school baseball excellence in the region.
