Stanford’s men’s basketball program announced its 2026‑27 non‑conference schedule on November 2, laying out a demanding slate that blends early road tests with a robust home slate at Maples Pavilion.
The Cardinal will open the season with two exhibition games on the road, facing Santa Clara on October 17 and Oregon on October 25, before returning to Palo Alto for its first home contests.
Home games include matchups against Eastern Washington on November 2, Oakland on November 6 and Rice on November 9, and the team will host a third straight appearance in the Acrisure Series, a tournament it captured the previous year.
A challenging non‑conference slate
The schedule also features a trip to UNLV on November 13, followed by home games versus UC Irvine on November 17 and Sacramento State on November 19, before the Cardinal travels to Palm Desert for the Acrisure Series games on November 24 and 25, where they will open against Colorado and then meet either Grand Canyon or Saint Louis the next night.
Later in the month, Stanford will take part in the SEC/ACC Challenge, facing Portland on November 29 and Texas A&M on December 2, and will round out its non‑conference run with home games against Pacific, Northern Colorado, San Jose State and St. Thomas in early December.
The upcoming slate is projected to pit the Cardinal against mostly top‑250 opponents, with only a handful of quadrant‑four NET teams, underscoring the team’s ambition to test itself against high‑ranked competition as it looks to build on last season’s 20‑13 record and consecutive postseason appearances.
