Stepan Timofeyev, the 30‑year‑old Russian forward, has agreed to a contract that will keep him with the Kalamazoo Wings through the 2026‑27 ECHL season. The signing was confirmed by team officials who highlighted his experience and offensive versatility.
The deal follows a standout campaign in which Timofeyev posted a career‑high 53 points, splitting his time between Greenville and Utah. In 38 games he recorded eight goals and 17 assists, underscoring his ability to contribute across the score sheet.
Over five professional seasons, Timofeyev has accumulated 159 points in 198 ECHL appearances. His previous high of 53 points came in the 2023‑24 season after a stint with Norfolk, where he tallied 37 points in 43 games.
Before reaching the ECHL, Timofeyev honed his game in the Federal Prospects Hockey League and the SPHL, navigating six seasons in North America’s minor leagues before breaking through with Norfolk in 2022‑23.
After brief periods with the Admirals and the Swamp Rabbits, he returns to the ECHL with a reputation for versatility and a knack for generating offense in tight situations, making him a valuable addition to the Wings’ forward corps.
