San Diego Toreros senior forward Steven Ramirez was crowned the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of August 2026, a recognition that underscores his early impact on the team’s attack.
A Week of Impact
Ramirez helped the Toreros secure two victories, first a 3‑1 home triumph over Liberty in which he netted two goals, and then a 2‑1 win against the Washington Huskies where he assisted the opening scorer. He finished the game with four shots and led the team with three on goal, contributing to three of the Toreros’ five goals during the week.
The honor marks Ramirez’s first conference weekly award and represents the first WCC Offensive Player of the Week selection of the 2026 season. It also marks the first time a Torero has earned the distinction since Iain Wagner was recognized in November 2025, linking his achievement to a lineage of Toreros excellence in conference play.
