Stonehill College’s baseball squad saw its season conclude with a 11‑1 defeat at the hands of Bryant University, dropping to 19‑27 overall while the Bulldogs improved to 27‑22.
The Skyhawks had taken an early 1‑0 lead in the second inning, but Bryant’s pitching staff shut down the offense, limiting Stonehill to a single hit over the final five frames and erupting for 11 unanswered runs.
Ryan LeClair extended his on‑base streak to 41 games and stole his team‑leading 10th base of the season, while Nathan Kearney kept his streak alive at 38 games. Tyler Redden contributed an RBI with a 1‑for‑2 effort, and John Bureau reached base for the 12th straight game before scoring the lone Skyhawks run.
Reliever Jake Lanzer matched the game‑high with three strikeouts in 1.1 scoreless innings, providing a brief spark for the visitors before the Bulldogs pulled away.
Stonehill will now turn its attention to a three‑game NEC series against Norfolk State University beginning Friday, hoping to carry momentum into the next chapter.
