Stony Brook Baseball Stars Head to Summer Leagues Across the Nation

Twenty‑one players from the Seawolves will showcase their talents in collegiate summer circuits from New England to the South

As the 2026 collegiate summer season approaches, the Stony Brook Seawolves baseball program is set to scatter its talent across a dozen competitive wood‑bat leagues that stretch from the frosty coasts of New England to the sun‑baked fields of the Deep South.

The upcoming schedule features participants in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, the Futures League, the Valley League, the Blue Chip League, the South Florida Collegiate League, the ACBL, and the Legacy League, giving each player a chance to test his skills against top amateur talent.

Summer League Destinations

Several of the Seawolves will suit up for clubs in the Valley League, including Nicholas Dromboski, Luca Mannino, Reilly Bridges and Dylan Henshaw, who will wear the colors of Front Royal. In the Futures League, James Schaffer heads to Vermont, while Mike Villani and Mike Cervoni will join the Nashua and Westfield squads respectively, though the latter’s exact assignment remains under review.

The New England Collegiate Baseball League will see Chris Carson don the Valley uniform, while Hunter Colagrande and Scott Gell will also compete for league affiliates. Meanwhile, Nick Zampieron will represent Sanford in the same circuit, adding depth to a league that routinely produces future major‑league prospects.

Additional storylines emerge as Jalen Josey steps onto the Blue Chip League stage, and a trio of Titans organization players — Shane Meehan, Bobby Westcott and Jake Vaccariello — will battle for the same club. Jude McDonald will chase a South Florida Collegiate League title with the Del Ray Lightning, and John Pericolosi will test his mettle with the East Coast Sandhogs in the ACBL.

Finally, John Miedreich will finish the summer with the Flowood Flyers in the Legacy League, rounding out a slate that showcases the breadth of competition awaiting the Seawolves.
