Stony Brook Men’s Basketball Announces Full 2026-27 Schedule

A 32-game slate blending non-conference challenges with a rigorous CAA campaign

Stony Brook University's men's basketball program has released its complete 2026-27 schedule, a 32-game slate that blends 14 non-conference contests with 18 games against Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponents.

Season Overview

The campaign opens on November 2 with a home showdown against SUNY Old Westbury, before the team hits the road to face Northwestern in Illinois on November 6, and then travels to New Jersey for a November 11 tilt at Princeton.

A highlight early in the non-conference slate is the Stony Brook Classic on November 24‑25, featuring home games against Lindenwood and New Haven, followed by a return to Long Island for a November 28 contest with Delaware.

December brings a mix of home and away challenges, including a December 2 home game versus Maryland Eastern Shore, a December 5 home matchup with Maine, and high‑profile road games at Ohio State on December 15 and at Brown on December 22.

Conference play begins on New Year’s Eve with a home game against Monmouth, and the team will then journey to face Hofstra on January 2 and Towson on January 9, before embarking on a three-game road trip through North Carolina that includes N.C. A&T, Elon and Campbell from January 14‑18.

After a home game versus William & Mary on January 21, Stony Brook will enjoy a four-game homestand in late January and early February, squaring off against Hampton, Drexel, Elon and Campbell, before returning to the court for road games at Charleston on February 11 and UNC Wilmington on February 13.

Championship Destination

The regular season wraps up with a home series against Hofstra on February 20 and a final road game at Northeastern on March 2, setting the stage for the CAA Championships, which will be held in Washington D.C. from March 5‑9.
