Stroudsburg High School Announces Coaching Vacancies

The school district is looking to fill two varsity head coaching positions for baseball and field hockey, following the conclusion of the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Field Hockey Program Review

The field hockey team finished the 2025 campaign with a 12‑8 overall record and a 7‑6 mark in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play, a performance achieved under the guidance of former head coach Lois Groff.

Baseball Program Review

The baseball squad ended the 2026 season at 11‑12 overall and 8‑8 in conference play, but a five‑game winning streak secured a spot in the state playoffs; the team was led by Mattew Suarez before he stepped down and AJ Denny took over as interim coach.

In addition to the varsity openings, the athletic department is also recruiting for assistant and junior varsity girls' soccer coaches as well as a middle school assistant girls' volleyball coach.

Application Process

Prospective head coaches for baseball and field hockey should email athletic director Rich Baker, while candidates for the girls' soccer and volleyball roles can contact Haley Skove and Emily Olsen respectively.

Stroudsburg High School, a public institution serving the local community, continues to emphasize competitive athletics and student development.
