The second annual Stuckman‑Potts Basketball Camp opened its doors this week at Quincy Notre Dame, drawing a lively mix of middle‑school and high‑school athletes from Quincy High, Quincy Notre Dame, Highland, Liberty, Payson and Hannibal.
Fundamentals Drive the Program
Tanner Stuckman, who has built a professional career playing overseas, returned to his hometown to share the lessons he’s learned on the court, stressing that mastery of basics such as dribbling, footwork and shooting form the foundation of any successful player.
Joining him, Troy Potts, a longtime collegiate coach, emphasized the value of exposure to different playing styles, noting that the camp’s greatest strength lies in the variety of schools and skill levels represented.
Together, the duo aims to give aspiring athletes access to top‑tier instruction, using the camp as a platform to reinforce technique and confidence before the upcoming season.
Organizers say the event also serves as a community bridge, connecting families across state lines and fostering a shared love of the game that extends beyond the gym.
