Summer Slam Returns to Skaneateles
The second annual Summer Slam, organized by the One Orange Alliance and veteran Vinny Lobdell, will take place on July 22 at the historic Lobdell family barn in Skaneateles, New York. The gathering blends basketball nostalgia with community celebration, drawing fans eager to relive the glory of Syracuse basketball.
At the heart of the event is an on‑court conversation featuring former Orange stars Gerry McNamara and Carmelo Anthony, who will share insights from their careers and discuss the next era of Orange greatness. Additional Syracuse head coaches are also expected to make appearances, adding depth to the dialogue.
Attendees can look forward to a slate of competitions, including a dunk contest and a three‑point shootout, alongside a feast of great food, an open bar, and a fireworks finale that caps the evening. The atmosphere is designed to honor the past while inspiring the future of the program.
