Sweden has announced the lineup for its women's national hockey team that will compete in the upcoming Women's Euro Hockey Tour in Switzerland, a competition that serves as a crucial stepping stone toward the forthcoming World Cup.
The roster blends seasoned internationals with fresh talent, headlined by returning captain Michelle Löwenhielm and two debutants, Tilde Grillfors and Ella Albinsson, who earned their spots after standout performances at the summer camp in Enköping.
Coaching philosophy and preparation
Head coach Erika Holst emphasized that the tournament is less about the final standings and more about evaluating the squad's chemistry, defensive structure and competitive mindset before the World Cup.
Goalkeepers Ebba Svensson Träff and Ida Boman, the latter having impressed at the 2026 Olympics, are expected to provide stability between the pipes, while the blue line will be anchored by Mira Jungåker of Ohio State, Jessica Adolfsson of Linköping and Maja Nylén‑Persson of New York Sirens.
