Syracuse University's women's basketball team is putting the finishing touches on its 2026 roster, a process that has taken an international turn with the addition of point guard Célaine Ricco.
Ricco, a native of France, arrives after a stint with the French U20 side competing at the EuroBasket Championships, where she helped the team on the court and contributed six points across five appearances, shooting a perfect four‑for‑four from the free‑throw line.
Depth and Experience in the Backcourt
Coaches see Ricco as a valuable piece for the Orange, noting that her overseas experience brings a different perspective and a readiness to compete at the collegiate level.
The commitment comes as the program still holds two vacant scholarship slots, leaving room for additional talent to be added before the next season begins.
Veteran forward Dominique Darius remains on the current 26‑27 roster listed on Cuse.com, though her exact status for the upcoming campaign has yet to be confirmed.
Felisha Legette‑Jack, a longtime figure in the program, is also part of the roster, adding further depth to the backcourt alongside Ricco.
