Syracuse University has unveiled its 2026‑27 non‑conference basketball schedule, a 14‑game lineup that blends exhibition work with a carefully curated set of regular‑season matchups.
The slate reflects the program’s “New York State of Mind” philosophy, with eight contests slated against schools located within the state and six more against opponents in the six bordering states.
Building a résumé that matters
Among the highlighted games is a home showdown with Indiana on November 9, followed by a 12‑day hiatus that could be shaped by NBA scheduling conflicts, before a road test at Lafayette on November 21.
Exhibition games are set for October 24 against Niagara and later in October against Siena, the latter still awaiting a firm date.
The non‑conference slate also includes a marquee ACC‑SEC Challenge meeting with Oklahoma on December 1, a game that promises national visibility.
Beyond the high‑profile opponents, Syracuse will travel to face New Haven, Central Connecticut State, Providence, Binghamton, Cornell, Mercyhurst and Canisius, rounding out a diverse schedule designed to test depth and boost the team’s NCAA Tournament résumé.
