The EYBL circuit’s Kansas City stop has become a focal point for college scouts, and this year Syracuse’s recruiting targets have turned heads with impressive showings.
Among them, King Gibson, a five‑star point guard, displayed poise and playmaking that underscored his status as one of the nation’s premier backcourt prospects.

The Orange’s board also evaluated Markus Kerr, a four‑star wing, alongside big men Lewis Uvwo and Caleb Ourigou, while shooting guard RJ Moore and forward Kager Knueppel added depth to the talent pool.
Head coach Gerry McNamara, leading the staff’s 2027 and 2028 recruitment drive, emphasized fit and development, noting that early exposure at events like this informs scholarship decisions.
With the EYBL session slated to run through May 25, the Orange’s staff continues to monitor performances, having already extended scholarship offers to several of the highlighted prospects.
