Syracuse University’s men’s basketball team is set to open its home slate on November 16, welcoming Lafayette to the JMA Wireless Dome. The contest marks the tenth meeting between the two programs, a series that has been dominated by the Orange.
A Decade of Dominance
Syracuse has never lost to the Leopards, posting a perfect 9‑0 record in the previous nine encounters. The most recent showdown in the 2021‑22 season ended in a 97‑63 victory, underscoring the gap in experience and depth.
Lafayette arrives with a modest 11‑21 record from the 2025‑26 campaign, having finished 8‑10 within the Patriot League. The team last made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015, a milestone that still resonates with its fan base.
