Syracuse University’s basketball staff made a high‑profile appearance at the recent Peach Jam, the premier showcase for elite high school talent, to evaluate prospects for the upcoming 2027 recruiting cycle.
The event served as a proving ground for a handful of players who have already attracted attention from the Orange coaching staff, and several of them left the tournament with hardware around their necks.
Awards and Accolades
Moussa Kamissoko, a five‑star wing/small forward, was selected to the All‑Peach Jam third team and earned a spot on the All‑Defensive squad, underscoring his two‑way impact.
Lewis Uvwo, the five‑star center, captured the defensive MVP award and secured first‑team honors after dominating the paint.
Ian Condon, a four‑star power forward, received honorable‑mention recognition, while guard Devin Cleveland was highlighted as an additional standout performer.
Beyond the award winners, Nasir Anderson, a five‑star point guard, impressed with his playmaking in the Adidas 3SSB circuit, and J'Lon Lyons, also a four‑star point guard, showed strong form during the EYBL season. Ahmed Nur, another five‑star wing/forward, posted notable statistics in the same circuit.
Syracuse has extended scholarship offers to each of these prospects — Kamissoko, Condon, Uvwo, Cleveland, Anderson, Lyons and Nur — signaling a coordinated effort to build a competitive 2027 class.
Coaches view the group as priority targets, noting that their performances not only validate the staff’s scouting instincts but also position the Orange to compete nationally for top talent.
