Syracuse University’s basketball program has extended a formal invitation to Skye Ragoo, a 6‑foot‑3 guard who is rapidly emerging as one of the most talked‑about prospects in the 2028 class. The Orange’s coaching staff sees in Ragoo a blend of size, shooting touch and playmaking that fits their evolving roster.
Ragoo honed his game at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, New York, where he earned a spot on the Catholic High School Athletic Association’s AA second team for the 2025‑26 season. The recognition placed him among the top 138 players nationally, 37th at shooting guard, and fourth in New York within his class according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
A busy summer on the national circuit
During the spring, Ragoo traveled to San Antonio to attend a USA Basketball junior national team minicamp, testing himself against some of the country’s elite prospects. He also competes for NY Lightning in Nike’s EYBL league, where he is currently averaging 8.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. His contributions helped the team finish the third session with a 9.3‑point average per contest, earning him a place on The Circuit’s All‑Underclass team.
The exposure has attracted a suite of college offers. In addition to Syracuse, Ragoo holds commitments from Houston, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Boston College, Hofstra, Stanford and Florida A&M. Each program has highlighted his versatility and projected impact as a backcourt player.
Looking ahead
With his senior season still on the horizon, Ragoo says he is focused on continuing to develop his shot and defensive fundamentals. He hopes the growing list of suitors will eventually narrow down to a program where he can make an immediate contribution. For now, the Orange are counting on his recruitment to add depth to a backcourt that is looking to reload for the upcoming campaign.
