Syracuse University’s field hockey program is poised for a promising 2026 campaign, highlighted by the recent announcement that five of its student‑athletes have earned spots on the NFHCA Division I Preseason Watch List.
The honored athletes — Jessie Eiselin, Hattie Madden, Taylor Bigbie, Aubrey Turner and Jess Liddell — represent a blend of seasoned seniors and emerging freshmen, each bringing distinct contributions to the Orange’s recent successes.
International Exposure
Eiselin, a senior goalkeeper from Amsterdam, Netherlands, capped her 2025 season with First Team All‑Region honors after making 22 saves, including nine against Wake Forest, and representing the Netherlands at the senior level.
Bigbie, a sophomore from Rocky Point, New York, logged 599 minutes as a freshman and helped the defensive penalty‑corner unit achieve an 18.7% conversion rate; she also earned a place on the U.S. U‑21 Women’s National Team, competing in the Junior Pan American Cup in Santiago, Chile, and the England 4 Nations Tournament.
Madden, a senior forward from Lytham, England, was named Second Team All‑Region after scoring 19 points — nine goals and an assist — highlighted by a hat trick in the season opener and a game‑winning goal against Ohio State, finishing with a 22‑of‑32 shooting record over 977 minutes.
Turner, a sophomore forward from Downingtown, Pennsylvania, made an immediate impact as a true freshman, starting all 20 games and delivering three game‑winning goals, including a penalty stroke against Liberty in the NCAA Tournament, while also training at the USA Field Hockey U‑21 Junior National Camp in Charlotte.
Liddell, a freshman midfielder from Ascot, Berkshire, England, joins the 2026 signing class after participating in England’s 8 Nations Tournament in Spain, bringing international experience to the midfield.
