Just days earlier, Syracuse endured a scoreless draw against Harvard, a result that underscored the reliability of their backline. Goalkeeper Maya Naimoli earned her fourth shutout in the last five outings, reinforcing the notion that the team's defensive foundation remains solid despite the lack of goals.
Across the field, the Binghamton Bearcats enter the contest with an impressive record of 3‑0‑2 and a program‑record five consecutive shutouts, highlighting a defensive discipline that has become their trademark this season.

Syracuse's defensive unit is anchored by Bree Bridges, who has logged every minute of the regular season and provides a steady presence at the back.
