Tanner Olmstead, a senior at Cassadaga Valley Central School, has officially committed to the Alfred State University football program, where he will also pursue a degree in Motorsports Technology.
A New Chapter for Tanner Olmstead
The signing ceremony, held this week on campus, was marked by the presentation of the Big Blue Scholarship, recognizing Olmstead’s athletic achievements and academic promise.
Alfred State, known for its hands‑on engineering curriculum, offers a Motorsports Technology program that blends automotive theory with practical racing experience, positioning graduates for careers in high‑performance vehicle design and race team operations.
University officials highlighted the addition of Olmstead as a boost to both the football squad and the Motorsports cohort, noting that his leadership on the field reflects the same drive he will bring to the workshop and laboratory.
