LC State Women’s Basketball announced the addition of Taren Bateman to its 2027 recruiting class, a move that promises to fortify the Warriors’ roster with a player whose on‑court production and off‑court versatility have already turned heads across Idaho.
High School Excellence
A senior at Bonners Ferry High School, Bateman averages more than 19 points per game and has been recognized as the Intermountain League MVP, All‑Intermountain League and All‑State, underscoring her status as one of the region’s premier talents.
During the 2023‑24 season she also competed with a top‑tier AAU program that regularly faced national‑level opponents, giving her exposure to a broader style of play and reinforcing the athleticism that coaches admire.
Coach Caelyn Orlandi praised Bateman, saying she embodies the Warrior spirit and highlighting her jump shot, work ethic and competitive drive as key assets for the upcoming season.
With June Fiander, Makenna Klitzke and Elise Kingston already committed, Bateman is expected to make an immediate impact on the court for the 2027‑28 Warriors team, adding depth and a proven scorer to the lineup.
