Tarleton State Announces Historic Broadcast Partnership for Football Season

All 12 games to air on KSTV Cowboy 93, KTRL 90.5 FM, and online, with inaugural Chancellor's Cup on the line

Tarleton State University is set to bring its football program to a wider audience as it announces a new broadcast agreement that will see every one of its 12 regular‑season games aired on KSTV Cowboy 93.

The games will also be streamed on KTRL 90.5 FM and via the university’s online portal at TarletonSports.com/Watch, giving fans multiple ways to tune in.

Byron Anderson, the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations, will handle play‑by‑play duties for the eleventh straight season, while former Texas A&M‑Commerce tight end Kyle Masters returns for his ninth consecutive year as color analyst.

Keltin Wines, who has been the sideline reporter for five seasons, will continue in that role, marking his tenth year overall with the program.

A Tradition Re‑imagined

The season kicks off on August 29 when the Texans travel to face Prairie View A&M at Memorial Stadium, a matchup that will also determine the inaugural Chancellor’s Cup, a trophy that will be awarded to the victorious Texas A&M System school.

University officials say the partnership is designed to boost visibility across Stephenville and the broader community, reinforcing Tarleton State’s commitment to engaging with local fans and alumni.

The Chancellor’s Cup adds a ceremonial element to the opening contest, underscoring the growing rivalry between the two Texas A&M System institutions.

Fans can expect a high‑energy broadcast experience, with Anderson’s familiar voice guiding listeners through the action and Masters providing expert insight from the analyst desk.

The new broadcast platform also aims to increase student‑athlete exposure, potentially opening doors for scholarships and recruitment opportunities across the region.
