Tarleton State Soccer is set to reshape its roster for the 2026 campaign, announcing the addition of four fresh faces who will don the Texan colors next fall.
A diverse talent pool
The new class comprises two forwards and two midfielders, each bringing a blend of high‑school dominance and collegiate experience from across the United States.
Zahra Friess, a forward who honed her game at the United States Air Force Academy before adding a stint at Mississippi State, arrives with a high school record of 95 goals and 41 assists, accompanied by multiple All‑State selections.
Jordan Matthews, another forward, previously starred at UTRGV, where she set district scoring records and was recognized as the San Antonio Express News Soccer Player of the Year in 2024.
Midfielder Bailey Pottratz comes from Gardner‑Webb, where she helped the squad capture the Colorado High School Girls Soccer State Championship and accumulated a suite of academic and athletic honors.
Peyton Bryant, also a midfielder, was named to the 2025 Big South Women’s Soccer Top Returning Players to Watch List and plans to pursue a master’s degree in Business Administration at Tarleton State.
Each newcomer will chase a different academic path, ranging from business to engineering, while the coaching staff anticipates that their diverse skill sets will bolster the team’s competitiveness on the pitch.
