Tarleton State University’s men’s soccer program has released its 2026 schedule, a 19‑game lineup that blends non‑conference road trips with a rigorous United Athletic Conference (UAC) campaign. The season begins with an exhibition match against North Texas on August 6 in Denton, setting the stage for a competitive debut.
Season Overview
The Texans will play nine home games in Stephenville and ten away matches, with road contests spread across Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama. Six of those road games are slated for Texas, while two each await in Arkansas and Tennessee, and a single showdown in Alabama.
The regular‑season opener arrives on August 12 when Tarleton State travels to Corpus Christi to face Texas A&M‑Corpus Christi. A home opener follows on August 20 against UTEP, and the team will host back‑to‑back matches against UTRGV on August 27 and Lamar on August 30.
Road Streaks and Conference Play
September brings a trio of consecutive road games, beginning with matches against Incarnate Word (September 3), Houston Christian (September 6) and Prairie View A&M (September 11). The schedule then shifts to a home clash with Texas Southern on September 17 before conference play opens on September 24 with a road trip to Central Arkansas in Conway.
October features a demanding stretch of away games at Arkansas‑Little Rock, Austin Peay and North Alabama, followed by a series of home fixtures against West Georgia, Eastern Kentucky and Arkansas‑Little Rock. The regular season concludes with a home victory over Central Arkansas on November 1, after which the UAC Women’s Soccer Tournament will be held in Conway from November 8‑14.
Looking Ahead
Head coach Erik Solberg expressed confidence in the roster’s depth and the program’s trajectory, noting that the blend of home‑field advantage and challenging road environments will test the team’s resilience. With the schedule now set, fans can mark their calendars for a season that promises excitement from the first exhibition match through the final tournament games.
