Tate Duncan, a 24‑year‑old certified strength and conditioning specialist, has been named the new head baseball coach at Adams County Christian School in Natchez. His appointment marks a continuation of a year‑long progression that began when he joined the school’s faculty as a strength and conditioning coach and assistant baseball coach.
A native of Columbia who relocated to Natchez with his wife Sabra last year, Duncan brings a five‑year playing career that includes stints at Hinds Community College, Jones College and Delta State University. He earned degrees from both Jones College and Delta State before transitioning into education and athletics, and he obtained his CSCS certification before joining the ACCS faculty last summer.
During the 2025‑26 school year Duncan also taught seventh‑ and eighth‑grade math while serving as the assistant baseball coach. This dual role allowed him to blend his academic interests with his passion for athletics, laying groundwork for a program that aims to excel both on the diamond and in the classroom.
Duncan’s vision centers on applying the lessons learned at the collegiate level to foster a culture of improvement. He hopes to elevate the team’s performance on the field while also emphasizing academic achievement, creating an environment where athletes can thrive holistically.
Early Signs of Impact
ACCS Athletic Director Cristofer Thompson has already noted Duncan’s positive influence on the program, observing a noticeable boost in player engagement and preparation since his arrival.
The school community is enthusiastic about the direction of the baseball program under Duncan’s leadership, anticipating a season that reflects both competitive ambition and a commitment to student‑athlete development.
